Control & Operations
❓ Do I lose control of my employees?
Absolutely not. You retain 100% control over hiring, firing, pay rates, work schedules, and day-to-day management.

We operate as "Co-Employers." You handle the "Employer of the Site" duties (operations), while we handle the "Employer of Record" duties (liability, taxes, and compliance). It’s the same relationship you have with a payroll software, just with more protection.
❓ Is this a temp agency?
No. These are your long-term employees. We do not send you temporary staff. We simply upgrade the benefits and payroll infrastructure for the team you already have.
Money & Benefits
❓ How exactly do I save 8-14%?
Savings come from three "buckets":
  1. Buying Power: We buy healthcare and workers' comp insurance as a large group (500+ lives), securing rates far lower than a small business gets alone.
  2. SUTA Stabilization: We shield you from volatile swings in State Unemployment Tax rates.
  3. Admin Time: We eliminate the hidden cost of the 5–10 hours a month you currently spend fighting with paperwork.
❓ Does this work with my accounting software?
Yes. Whether you use QuickBooks, Xero, or a spreadsheet, we provide a General Ledger (GL) export file after every payroll run. Your bookkeeper simply imports it to keep your books perfectly aligned.
Risk & Safety
❓ What if you mess up my payroll?
We don't guess—we verify. That is why we run a "Shadow Payroll" before you ever go live. We run a mock payroll alongside your current provider for one cycle to ensure every penny matches. We do not flip the switch until the math is perfect.
❓ What happens if I want to leave?
We hate "handcuffs." If Prosperity-Works isn't the right fit, you can leave with 30 days' notice. We will even help you export your data to your new provider. We want you to stay because it works, not because you're stuck.
❓ Who handles L&I claims?
We do. In Washington State, Labor & Industries (L&I) claims can be a nightmare of paperwork. As the Employer of Record, we manage the claims process, handle the filings, and work to get your employee back to work, protecting your time and your mod rate.
